Some, Japan most famously, regulate it stringently, and any transaction touching a minor is categorically forbidden everywhere. Ignorantia juris non excusat: consult your local statute before you consult your wishlist.

Sub rosa, in the literal Roman sense. Orders ship in plain, unmarked wrappers under neutral billing descriptors; we retain the minimum datum necessary and disclose buyer identities to no one, not the seller, not the curious, not the casually subpoena-minded.

A signed, numbered attestation, the garment’s catalogue raisonné, recording the scholar, her discipline, the hours worn, and a unique authentication identifier. It is to the piece what the wall label is to the Vermeer.

Each piece is appointed to one of four faculty tiers, Undergraduate (the accessible entry), Doctoral (the core), Distinguished (the chairs and laureates-in-waiting), and Nobel Adjacent (the unrepeatable), and priced accordingly. The φ that once governed the price tags now governs only the count and the review tallies, which remain, dutifully, Fibonacci.

For reasons of hygiene, intimate pieces are final sale, a posteriori knowledge admits no refund. Misrepresented authenticity, however, is always remedied in full; on that, the warranty is categorical.
